【Application Areas】
Multi‑energy complementary application scenarios for “PV‑storage‑charging” or “storage‑charging” systems:
1. Multi‑energy complementarity applications, such as large‑scale charging stations or battery‑swap stations: Integrated “PV‑storage‑charging” or “storage‑charging” charging stations utilize clean energy for power supply, storing electricity generated through photovoltaic (PV) generation. The PV system, energy storage, and charging infrastructure form a microgrid that intelligently interacts with the public grid according to demand, supporting both grid‑connected and off‑grid operating modes. The energy storage system also mitigates the impact on the local grid caused by high‑current charging at charging piles, while smoothing peak loads and filling valleys to earn price differentials.
By adopting a common DC bus power supply scheme, PV generation, energy storage, charging piles, and DC‑DC loads are interconnected, reducing AC‑DC conversion stages, lowering investment costs, and improving overall system efficiency.
2. Vehicle‑to‑Grid (V2G) energy storage for electric vehicles: This involves bidirectional DC charging piles capable of both charging and discharging, enabling controlled two‑way energy exchange between electric vehicles and the grid. It allows EVs to charge during low‑price periods or off‑peak hours and discharge during peak times, helping owners capture price arbitrage opportunities. Additionally, it enhances load flexibility, reduces distribution network investment, facilitates integration of clean energy, and supports the development of the EV industry while minimizing land use for public charging infrastructure.
3. Storage‑charging‑inspection: By discharging new‑energy vehicles or battery packs, this approach can verify battery capacity and assess the degree of capacity degradation.
Onboard Mobile Energy Storage
Mobile energy storage vehicles equipped with high‑capacity batteries, combined with this DC‑DC module, enable diverse application scenarios, including vehicle charging and supplying power to DC loads.
Electric vehicles can use this DC‑DC module to power DC loads, realizing Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) energy storage functionality.

【Application Fields】
Energy Storage (Electric Vehicle Energy Storage V2G)
As the number of electric vehicles continues to grow, it is projected that by 2030 there will be as many as 80 million EVs. These massive fleets can serve both as flexible loads on the user side and as distributed energy resources, helping to balance grid demand, smooth out peak‑valley fluctuations, integrate renewable energy, and provide ancillary services such as frequency regulation and reserve capacity—thereby reducing investment in distribution networks.
This EV‑based V2G energy storage system is a bi‑directional DC charging station capable of both charging and discharging, with a maximum power output of up to 250 kW, covering the power requirements of most current DC chargers. It enables two‑way energy flow between electric vehicles and the grid, allowing owners to charge during off‑peak hours when electricity is cheaper and discharge during peak periods to earn the price differential. This approach enhances load flexibility, reduces distribution network investments, facilitates clean energy integration, and supports the growth of the EV industry while minimizing land use for public charging infrastructure.
Energy Storage (Battery Cascade Utilization)
This product is a modular energy storage converter ideally suited for repurposing retired or used traction batteries into energy storage systems. With power ratings ranging from 15 kW to 250 kW, it is well‑suited for commercial and industrial park applications. Its flexible embedded PCS solution provides core PCS modules, enabling system integrators to design diverse energy storage configurations with ease.
The isolated bidirectional AC/DC converter offers enhanced safety, higher efficiency, and a more compact footprint when connected to batteries. Additionally, its integrated on/off‑grid capability allows seamless switching to standalone operation during grid outages, making it ideal for microgrid applications such as islands or remote rural areas.
With a wide input voltage range, this solution is particularly suitable for cascaded utilization of end-of-life automotive batteries. It can also be configured as mobile energy storage, providing reliable power supply for critical events like G20 summits, Boao Forums, or high school entrance exams.
Battery Formation and Capacity Grading
The battery formation and capacity grading industry has undergone two revolutionary advancements:
First, energy‑regeneration technology replaced resistive dissipation. Traditional formation equipment relied on resistors, resulting in significant heat loss and high production costs. By contrast, regenerative discharge technology converts wasted energy back into usable electrical power, feeding it back into the AC grid for self‑consumption or other uses, thereby saving energy and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction goals.
Second, high‑frequency isolation has supplanted line‑frequency isolation. High‑frequency isolation improves system efficiency, lowers costs, and reduces the overall footprint, further enhancing energy savings and performance.
Figure 2 illustrates a bidirectional high‑frequency isolated power supply solution for battery formation and capacity grading. Battery packs are connected via grouping modules, eliminating the need for line‑frequency transformers and delivering higher system efficiency in a more compact form factor.
Aging of DC Power Supplies
DC power supplies—such as charging station modules, power operating supplies, and communication power supplies—experience aging during production. When operated under resistive or electronic loads, they incur substantial energy losses. By integrating these DC power supplies with a V2G module during the aging process, excess energy can be fed back into the grid, saving at least 95% of the consumed energy, reducing operational costs, and lowering electricity bills for users.
